Well, I should probably report a bug on the ubuntu package, but
since I posted a problem on using zip as a sequence, maybe this
can help. I did tried to reinstall the package with the same results.

(use tests.goo)
(run-all-tests)
...
WARNING AND ERROR SUMMARY
Warning: "<seq!>: (let ((x (fabsex x 1 2))) (set (len/fill x (ex 0)) 3)
x) was #[1 2 #f], not #[1 2 0]". Continuing...
Error: "No applicable methods on #{Gen del ((x <col>) (key <any>) =>
<col>)} when called with (\"\" #\\).".
Error: "Unbound variable ins!.".
Error: "No applicable methods on #{Gen len-setter ((new-len <int>) (c
<col!>))} when called with (0 (1)).".
Tautology completed with 1 warnings and 3 errors
goo/user 0=> 4

So like I said, if you don't see this too, then it's probably a
packaging problem.
